Teaser Tuesday/Wednesday 22/4/15

This is a bit late... oops.

This week I'm reading the demon collector by Jon Mayhew

Aldorath was a young demon who loved nothing more than making mortals dissatisfied. It was all he lived for.

Demon storm by Justin Richards review

Sorry about not being on all that much. Been busy with lots of stuff, got my exams coming up so this blog might not be fully active but I will do my best.

Demon Storm
There is an unseen world most people can't begin to imagine... unless they can see the ghosts.

Ben's sister Sam saw them all the time. Then she looked into the Judgement Box and that's when Ben life changed forever.

Would you look into the-judgement Box? Would you dare? If you can see what's inside then maybe you have what it takes to join...

The School of Night

Demon storm- The terror is only just beginning.

This was a brilliant book. Many twists and turns happening. It's a action packed book and with some bits of humor to it as well. The plot line is that there are people with a gift called the sight. They can see demons when no-one else can. When ordinary people look inside the judgement box it's appears empty but there is a demon inside. The book has questions to be answered in the sequel which is out so I will be reading that. I can't think of anything bad to say about this book. I'm glad to give this book a 5 star rating

The Penderwicks by Jeanne Birdsall

266904
This summer the Penderwick sisters have a wonderful surprise: a holiday on the grounds of a beautiful estate called Arundel. Soon they are busy discovering the summertime magic of Arundel’s sprawling gardens, treasure-filled attic, tame rabbits, and the cook who makes the best gingerbread in Massachusetts. But the best discovery of all is Jeffrey Tifton, son of Arundel’s owner, who quickly proves to be the perfect companion for their adventures.

The icy-hearted Mrs. Tifton is not as pleased with the Penderwicks as Jeffrey is, though, and warns the new friends to stay out of trouble. Which, of course, they will—won’t they? One thing’s for sure: it will be a summer the Penderwicks will never forget.

I hated this book. It was so difficult to carry on. It pains me to write this review. I didn't even finish this book. Considering my blog is called Leave No Book Unread I normally read right to the end. If a book doesn't do that then you know it's bad. I've looked at Goodreads review and everyone seems to love this book. Why? I found it dull. There was no excitement or adventure. Just a hotel with sisters. This book doesn't even deserve a rating. If I could rate in negative numbers I would. I'm afraid the lowest number that I go to is 1. I'm not sure the book is worthy of that. I'm not even going to read the rest of the series. Even with most books I don't like that are in a series I read the others in the series.

• BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)

Ways to Live Forever by Sally Nicholls review

13512791
My name is Sam. I am eleven years old. I collect stories and fantastic facts. By the time you read this, I will probably be dead.

Sam loves facts. He wants to know about UFOs and horror movies and airships and ghosts and scientists, and how it feels to kiss a girl. And because he has leukaemia he wants to know the facts about dying. Sam needs answers to the questions nobody will answer.

This book is good. I liked the book. It's bascially a book about Sam Mcqueen who has leukaemia and wants to complete his bucket list before he dies. His best friend, Felix Stranger is the one who pushes him to do these things. Some things that are included on his bucket list is go up down esclators, break a world record and go on an airship. This book also has quite a few facts so you might learn something new. This is quite a sad book so if you're easily upset this book is not for you.

Ingo by Helen Dunmore review

469964
"I wish I was away in Ingo Far across the briny sea, Sailing over deepest waters Where love nor care never trouble me. . . ."

By the Cornwall coast where Sapphire lives with her family, it's easy to hear the call of the sea. Too easy.

When the sea called to Sapphy's father, he vanished from her life. When the sea called to her brother, he started disappearing for hours on end. And now the sea is calling to Sapphy, and she feels its pull more strongly than she's ever felt anything in her life.

This book just didn't connect to me. I listened to it on audiobook. That's not why the book didn't connect to me. The narrator had an excellent voice but the book was just too slow paced. The text wasn't right and I just didn't like it. I liked the idea of there being a undersea world off the beach. I will get the next books in the series but that's only since I'm one of the people who just has to complete a series.
